Project:Minnesota Fats , State Rehab Album packaging     Client: Copycats Media  2006

 

This was an interesting project. Certified gangsta rapper MN Fats hired copycats to design the package for his newest project. Being I was the resident hip hop guy, that responsibility fell to me. I wasn’t thrilled at first, being that some of his instructions were “ I want money falling from the sky, NO ONES, me with my guns on the inside, and me like Godzilla above the capitol” . Fats actually turned out to be a cool ass dude. He was open to me pushing the design a little further than the traditional gangster rap package while still fitting in with the genre. The money falling from the sky was non negotiable however.
